Hello Hollywood SC Families,

 

Spring registration is now open!  There are some changes in how this is handled this year, so please read on…

 

All club registration will be handled electronically.  To register players and/or coaches, please follow the appropriate link below.   This information will also be posted to our club website.  Please -  we need coaches!  Time commitment is minimal for Spring league with a game-only schedule.  The more volunteers we have, the more playing opportunities for our kids.

 

Player Applicant Details:

 

·      Per PYSA tradition games are on Saturdays as well as one weekend with both a Saturday and Sunday game.  Also expect one possible travel game (e.g., Beaverton). Spring season runs April 3 through May 16.  

·      Per PYSA policy, season will be a game-only schedule with no outdoor practices unless your coach makes alternate arrangements

·      Please note that completion of the on-line application does not guarantee placement.  Coach availability and roster size limits may restrict the number of players.  You are encouraged to register early.  Teams will be filled on a first-come basis for all returning HWSC players before March 1st, at which time it will open to all players on a first-come basis.  While we attempt to group players per the Fall team arrangement, this may not always be possible.

·      No fees are collected at time of on-line registration.  All fees are to be paid directly to the individual head coaches at the time you are contacted by your coach.  Fees will vary from team to team based on roster size, but are certain to be less than the $65 Fall season.  No player will be prevented from participation due to inability to pay.  Please contact any Board member with scholarship requests.

·      For players that are new to Hollywood SC this season, you will be required to have current PYSA insurance.  For U9+ players this also means a PYSA player card.  If you played with another club in PYSA last Fall, you are already covered.  If not, you will be required to pay a $12 insurance fee in addition to your regular registration.  U9+ players will receive a player card with this.  No card required for U7-U8

·      Spring league is for U7 through U14 teams – sorry no KinderKick in Spring.

  

Coach Applicant Details:

 

·      Please register! 

·      The deadline for submitting a hard copy of team registration to PYSA is March 8 – no exceptions.

·      While our club is managing internal registration of players, the Head Coach of each team is to complete a one-page application / roster and submit with team fee to PYSA  (registration form download at www.portlandyouthsoccer.com)

·      All coaching staff must pass a background check.  If you volunteered as a Coach, Asst Coach, Team Manager last Fall, you are covered by our insurance policy and already have a completed background check.

·      If you intend to coach a team U9-U14, you will be required to have a valid membership card on game day.  If you do not have one, contact the club Registrar at this time.
