Programs

Kinder Kick

HWSC offers a special  program for children beginning Kindergarten in the fall.  “Kinder Kick” is a weekly group activity filled with fun activities and informal scrimmages.  Parents are encouraged to participate as assistant coaches.  Cost = $40 and includes a HWSC t-shirt.

  1. Tuesdays Thursdays in front of Grant HS.  4-5 and 5-6 p.m.

  2. We have two sessions to accommodate size and parents schedules.

Recreation

HWSC registers players between the ages of 6 - 14, or first-eighth grade for recreational soccer.  Recreational soccer players can be new to the sport, or have prior experience.  Teams are created based on interest and availability of volunteer coaches.    For more information on the format of games for the different age divisions, please visit www.portlandyouthsoccer.com.

District Recreation League (DRL)

District Recreational League (DRL) may be available for players U11 through U14 (5th through 8th grade) that are interested in a more competitive level of play than that offered with recreational soccer, but comes without the travel and/or financial commitments of a Competitive league.  If you are interested in DRL play, please indicate so during the registration process.  There is no guarantee that HWSC will have enough players with interest in DRL play for a given age group, in which case your son or daughter will be assigned to the appropriate recreational team.

Competitive

Hollywood Soccer Club is a founding and supporting member of the North East United (NEU) soccer program.  NEU is a program formed through the combined efforts of local recreation clubs Alameda Soccer Club (ASC) and Hollywood Soccer Club and is part of ASC.  Please visit NEU at www.NorthEastUnited.us.

Development Academy

The NEU Development Academy program is designed to complement a U9 & U10 player's participation in recreational soccer by providing once-a-week training sessions with NEU's coaches. The program is for players who want skill training in addition to what they are getting with their recreational team. Our goal is to provide the young player an introduction to a more competitive level of soccer with technical training, tactical basics and game play in a fun environment with other like-minded soccer players.
